The Hatch Foundation is a registered non-profit based in Cape Town, South Africa. We provide new mothers in underserved communities with newborn essentials for their baby, to support them in the early days.
What goes into a Hatch Bag?
Each Hatch bag care package contains at least 16 newborn essentials:
onesie, vest, leggings, warm top, beanie, socks and fleecy blanket
nappies, cotton wool, wipes, baby soap, facecloth, aqueous cream - and maternity pads for mom

We struggle to tie the Hatch bags closed once it's all packed in! Each bag is valued at more than R500.
You can make a difference
We rely on donations to be able to put together our Hatch bags.
Thanks to a combination of fundraising and donations received from individuals, schools and companies, we deliver Hatch bags regularly to new moms from some of Cape Town’s most underprivileged areas.
